- Alarm system
- Sensor alarm
- Real camera
- Dummy camera
- Door step

You may have heard of an alarm system which rings an alarm when it senses some intruder trying to enter the house. This is usually left on or is active in the night or you can make it active when there is no one at home. The ringing sound alarms your neighbours too and they will soon get alert in your absence. Leave behind a message to your neighbour when you are not at home so that they will be alert and will inform the cops in case some thing untoward was to occur. This can be adjustable and reset too.

There can be a laser fence surrounding your house or office. Any intruder who tries to break the fence will trigger the alarm system. This way, you can safe guard your house from intruders.

The most advanced way of doing this is by installing an indoor or out door surveillance camera. For those who cannot afford this, can also install a fake device which looks like the real one and misleads an intruder that there is a security device which will capture all his actions.

If it is an outdoor camera that you are planning to install make sure that it is weather proof and water proof. So that it can bear the external heat and rain. In order to keep the lens clear and away from fog, have them placed besides the air duct and properly ventilated area. It should be tough enough to bear the intruder’s vandalism. These are some of the security devices to protect your home.

No Business Security Camera – Are You Nuts?

Posted by admin on Oct 9, 2009 in Security

security2By Jack Krohn

Back in the good old days of my youth I was in the food business as a restaurateur. I did that for nearly 15 years. From that experience I learned that unless it was locked up or tied down it stood the risk of disappearing out the back door or front door or both. It was difficult to tell if employees, customers or suppliers were worse-they all had sticky fingers.

I firmly believed then as I do now that most people are honest but given the opportunity they will steal from you. So your job as a business owner or manager is to take away as many opportunities as you can.

Back then security cameras were the province of private eyes or government agencies because of their cost and complexity. Fortunately that has changed. Now due to huge advances in technology prices have fallen and security cameras of any stripe are easier than ever to use.

There are several options to help you protect your business-your livelihood. First for outdoor and indoor security there are no better cameras than a high speed pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) dome camera. They have great resolution and a zoom lens that varies by brand. This camera gives you maximum flexibility to see who is doing what to your store or property.

Next is a complete surveillance system. They have everything you need in a complete package, even wiring and brackets if called for. They take all the guesswork out of what to get. You can get anywhere form 4-16 cameras in most systems-more if necessary.

Need a hidden camera to catch bad guy ripping you off? There are now several so called “all inclusive hidden cameras with built in DVR.” They house a camera and DVR inside common everyday items so no one would suspect they are being watched. The images are recorder on an 8GB SD card for easy playback.

Last suggestion is an IP camera which is the least expensive alternative. They plug into your computer or DVR saving you money on hardware and are very easy to install with both indoor and outdoor models available. No matter what type of business you own you need a security camera for it-maybe more than one.

Business Security Tips – 3 Crucial Ways to Safeguard Your Business

Posted by admin on Oct 9, 2009 in Security

security1By Michael Lee

The nature of security has always been very important to us. We safeguard our lives, our homes and even our things. There’s no reason why we can’t do the same for our business. These days, more and more entrepreneurs can benefit from business security tips. After all, a business is practically an entrepreneur’s life!

If you want to know how to safeguard your business, read on!

Business Security Tip # 1: Invest in locks, vaults and other security equipment.

You never know when a thief or an unethical competitor might strike! If you want to protect your business, you can’t scrimp on your security detail.

Have more than decent locks on your doors, your windows and everywhere else that may be used as a way in or a way out. Depending on the probability that you might get broken into, it might be wise to invest in high quality windows and doors as well.

If you have something valuable inside your office, invest in a vault. These days, many businesses also opt for security cameras and security guards as well.

Business Security Tip # 2: Train your staff accordingly.

One important and often overlooked business concern is training your employees accordingly. Make sure they know and understand how your security procedure works.

It is also important that you don’t just hire anybody. This kind of process is normal for companies who have been around for a while. Check for a police clearance and have someone conduct a background check. You want to know who the people you’re working with are.

Business Security Tip # 3: Use the Shredder.

If you don’t think people are going to spend hours rummaging your trash, think again! In fact, this kind of tactic is often practiced by companies who only want to get the better of their rivals.

If you find yourself in competition with another company, you’d better be twice as careful about what you throw away. Every piece of paper that contains sensitive information must be shredded immediately. Don’t let anything that might jeopardize your business get away in one piece.

If you think this business security tip is bogus, ask yourself why paper shredders have not disappeared into oblivion? After all these years, why do some companies still have them around the office?

It is important for every entrepreneur to know these business security tips and how they can be of help. You might not think you need them now but are you really going to sit there and wait for your business to be infiltrated? Now is the time to act.
